The Snow Queen and the Goblin

Bah Humbug Productions is pleased to announce this year’s annual holiday production: The Snow Queen and the Goblin from the story by Hans Christian Andersen. This well-known fairy tale was the original source material for the highly acclaimed and successful Disney film, Frozen. Opening on Friday, December 12th, an adaptation of this wonderful story will fill the stage at Parkland College Theatre to take the audience back in time and into a world of imagination and fantasy; a world of snow and ice as well as inspiration and heart.

The entire family will delight to the story of young Gerda’s efforts to rescue her friend Kai from the Snow Queen and her minions. And the antics of the Goblin and the many other memorable characters will fascinate one and all in this splendid story by the author of “The Little Mermaid” and “The Ugly Duckling.” The Snow Queen and the Goblin is a story that celebrates the ideals and trials of childhood yet explores messages of devotion, bravery, and the triumph of love.

Auditions for the show will be held in October with dates, times and place to be announced in the near future. The cast requires actors of all ages and a list of characters will be posted soon.

The Snow Queen and the Goblin will be presented at 8 performances: Evenings on December 12, 13, 18, 19, and 20 at 7 PM with afternoon matinees on December 14, 20 and 21 at 3 PM.
